“Our mission is to produce an effective maternity care education model and maternity workforce that eliminates negative birth outcome disparities in childbearing people of color, reduces maternal morbidity and mortality, and improves birth outcomes in childbearing people of color and infants.
We intend to increase the number of birth-workers of color available to serve and support childbearing people of color. We are creating comprehensive, affordable education and training opportunities in maternity care, with subsequent employment opportunities, so birth-workers can work in their passion while earning a living wage working just one job!”
